This mountain near Rome is often forgotten by many hikers passing by car to reach the highest peaks of the Central Apennines. Actually it looks like a fairy story with a magic charm made by gnarled centuries-old beech trees reminiscent of the worlds painted by Tolkien's words. Free herds of horses and ancient cows with long horns, the same decorated in old Greek temples, graze in large green fields.
We will climb through the forest enriched by holly trees to the top of Monte Gennaro, from where we will admire 360° unforgettable views. We will relax thinking how sweet "La bella vita" can be.
