Dancing between worlds. From the heart of Rome to the heart of the world.
First of all, I would like to thank Susanetta for the invitation and for the beautiful synergy between different practices and shared intentions: sharing knowledge and creating meaningful cross-pollination through good company, art, awareness, and dance. I truly believe in this nourishing kind of contamination, where different paths meet, dialogue, and enrich one another.
Globally, we are living through complex and uncertain times. In moments like these, practice becomes essential. As Alice Walker wrote:
" Hard times require furious dancing ".
Therefore practice together is even more meaningful. Dance can be a resource.
A way to stay open and curious. A way to cultivate pleasure and access joy, even when life feels challenging.

How Dance found me.
I discovered Dance as a way of healing my relationship with myself in 2001, in Brazil. I began with Biodanza for a couple of years, then immersed myself in the 5 Rhythms for several years. Since 2006, I have been dancing Movement Medicine®. In the Movement Medicine field, I felt at home.

The integration of body, heart and mind resonated deeply with me. Becoming a certified teacher was not simply professional training — it was a life path.
Contacting my inner Dancer has been, and continues to be, a profound process of healing — in my relationship with myself and in my relationship with life in all its manifestations. Dance, for me, is not performance. It is a living conversation with the body. A way to meet frozen parts, awaken vitality and cultivate presence.

For the past 10 years, I have been teaching a weekly class in Rome, holding ongoing groups both in-person and online. One of these spaces is GioveBeat: in Rhythm with Life. This is our weekly Movement Medicine class. I am happy to invite you to take part of it. Every Thursday | 19:40–21:30 | Istituto Pio IX | Via di Santa Prisca 8 | Aventin area - near Metro Circo Massimo or Tram 3 stop
Once a month, we also dance outdoors in one of Rome’s parks, reconnecting body and breath with earth and sky.
Next outdoor GioveBeat will take place on March 29 at Parco degli Acquedotti, where ancient aqueducts meet open horizons. Dancing there feels like weaving together history, landscape, and present-moment awareness.
If you are new to Rome or simply looking for one of the most passionate and welcoming community, you are warmly welcome to dance with us anytime and anywhere.
